Ace Driving School FAQ's
Is Ace Driving School a licensed driving school in Minnesota?
Just because a driving school appears on our directory of driver training institutions, we cannot guarantee that they are fully licensed to offer hands-on driving courses in Minnesota. We highly recommend that you contact Ace Driving School directly or the Minnesota DMV to find out for sure if Ace Driving School offers driver training courses that have been approved by the State of Minnesota.
Do I have to take a behind-the-wheel training course? Can't my parents just give me my driver training?
There are some states that do allow parents or guardians to provide their teen-aged kids' required behind-the-wheel training in order to obtain a driver's license. However many states do not allow any type of substitution for attending a professionally-taught driver training course. We suggest you contact your state's DMV to find out what the laws are in your state regarding hands-on driving instruction.
Do I need to tell Ace Driving School that I need to train with an automatic-shift automobile? I don't know how to drive a stick-shift automobile.
Most new drivers don't know how to operate either a manual-shift OR and automatic-shift car! We recommend that you ask Ace Driving School if you can complete your behind-the-wheel training using an automatic-shift vehicle before you enroll in their driver training course.
I live in a very remote area, where there are mountains and a lot of unpaved roads. Do you know if Ace Driving School teaches students how to drive in rural areas like where I live instead of just driving on smooth, paved roads in urban areas?
Since you live in a rural area, a local driving school such as Ace Driving School will tailor your behind-the-wheel training to handle the conditions in your area.
If I'm 14, can I get an instruction permit to drive in Minnesota?
Possibly. However, you should be aware that most states require you to be at least 15½ years old before you can get an instruction permit. We recommend that you contact the Minnesota Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or a licensed driving school such as Ace Driving School to find out exactly what the minimum age requirement is in Minnesota.
Do I have to take a Minneapolis Minnesota classroom or online drivers education course before I can register for a driver training course through Ace Driving School?
This requirement varies by state but most states do mandate new teen-aged drivers to take BOTH a classroom-based driver education course (generally 30 hours in length) AND a driver training course. You should ask Ace Driving School if they offer one or both programs.
If I need to enroll in a Minneapolis Minnesota behind-the-wheel training program, can Ace Driving School help?
Yes. Ace Driving School offers driving instruction in Minneapolis Minnesota. For more information about the type of behind-the-wheel training Ace Driving School offers and the training schedule, you should contact them directly.
Do I have to take drivers education to get a Minnesota driver's license?
Drivers education requirements vary depending on which state you live in, but you should be aware that most states require new, teen-aged drivers to enroll in both a driver training course in addition to a drivers education classroom or online course. You may wish to contact the Minnesota DMV to find out exactly what requirements you will need to fulfill in order to obtain your first driver's license.
Is there a law in Minnesota that requires me to take behind-the-wheel training in order to get my driver's license?
Yes. State law in Minnesota mandates that all teen-agers enroll in an approved driver training course before receiving a Minnesota driver's license.
Can I enroll in a Minnesota-certified behind-the-wheel training course even if I don't have my Minnesota learners permit yet?
Most likely, no. Most states have laws that mandate a pre-licensed driver to have obtained a Minnesota instruction permit before registering in a Minnesota driver training course. It would be best for you to contact a driving school such as Ace Driving School and ask for more information.
